“Enter the Wasteland” by Uber and Warner Bros. (2015)

Mad Max is an action based, vehicle combat, video game set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The game was designed in the universe of the Mad Max films, but besides that it has no connection to the films. Uber ran a promotion in downtown Seattle where people requesting rides can be picked up in a car straight out of the Mad Max video game. The drivers are actors in full costume, bringing this video game’s universe to reality. The cars are extremely well built, and, according to many Twitter posts online, the drivers are entertaining and seem to be pulled right out of the video game due to their vernacular and personalities. Uber gives all riders who get picked up in these Mad Max cars a free ride, saying that “Your dollars are worthless in the Wasteland. Payment shall not be required.”
