“Empire State Kali” by Android Jones (2015)

Director Louie Psihoyos and visual artist Travis Threlkel created a documentary titled Racing Extinction where they showed the issues of the mass extinction of many different species. Andrew “Android” Jones worked on creating a series of video projection mappings that showed many of these different animals morphing together along with his own art. He projected his work on the Empire State Building on August 1, 2015 in an attempt to get the idea of this documentary to a very large audience. Many of his other works are interactive projection mappings where the collective movement of the audience determines the animations and audio.
