Assignment 1 – Roberto and Rachel
- What we learned during this project discovery was how complex and precise certain parts of an inflatable are. Cutting the components which was easy enough, but assembling was the actual challenge. We were planning to do as many experiments as possible to see various characteristics of inflatables. Instead of using the same strategy every time, we discussed what fun things we can make. There are bends, folds, and flexing all incorporate to the point that you have to feel out the construction rather than things going as initially planned. If we were to do this again we would make smaller prototypes and discuss what will go where and how will we address hard seams.
