Assignment 1- Chloe Kim & Sommer Schneller

For the first assignment, we worked with a partner to create five inflatables. Our group focused on color variation to add fun while exploring different geometric shapes and organic shapes to build inflatables. Mix-matching colorful tapes and plastic bags also encouraged us to play with pattern design throughout the project. Although cutting out plastic bag was simple and straightforward, it was hard to control scissors since they need to be cut into certain shapes such as strips, curves, and straight edge. However, as we experimented with different shapes, our challenge became part of the fun as a process to struggle and create non-leaking inflatables at last.
