Assignment 1: John Hewitt & Ema Furusho

We first discussed and experimented with the material together. The plastic and tape were inclined to geometric and orderly forms and we experimented with constructing tubular, organic shapes. Along with playing with the idea of an organic inflatable there was also experimentation with found plastics and color schemes. Some of our structures struggled with being air-tight while others were more successful in retaining a clean and recognizable form.
If we were to continue experimenting with these forms, it would be interesting to make them at a larger scale and incorporating the plastic heat sealer to help with construction.
