Homework:
Sloper
1. Sign up for Sloper Fitting asap.
2. If your sloper has been fitted, bravo! Put Sloper on tag. Natalya will discuss this during next class but S. Furrer does cover this in her Bodice class if you can’t wait. Poster board is on the metal shelf in the classroom.
3. Follow Designing Your Wardrobe: Drafting Tops class: Chapter “Sleeveless Shell” 29:54 mins and “Closures, Edge Finishes, and Pattern Standards” 28:28 mins.  Create a Sleeveless Shell working pattern (front should be the same as in the video; back should be with one slit in the neckline, shoulder dart, back contouring but no waist dart).   Does your drafted slit create an opening of at least 24″?
4. Add 1/4″ seam allowance around the neck, 1/2″ seam allowance everywhere else), cut unwashed muslin, staystitch around the neck and armhole, sew up a simple quick toile with the front made out of one panel and the back with two panels. This toile is to confirm proportions and fit. Why make a toile/muslin? Due beginning of class: February 24 or sooner!
