Course Software Overview

We will use both commercial and open-source software in the course. Following is a summary list of specific software you will need to have available on your computing system:

1. Zoom (video-conferencing)

2. Autodesk Fusion 360 (3D CAD)

3. Arduino IDE (Arduino programming)

4. Python 3 Installation (laptop programming)

In addition, you’ll need to provide software to meet the following needs:

1. web browsing (Google Chrome recommended)

2. video editing

You may also wish to have a programming text editor available.

Project documentation will require a basic level of video recording and production. Nothing specific is suggested, although an entry-level tool such as iMovie or Windows Movie Maker should be fine.
