Our prototype as seen (below) consists of what will be a mounted servo connected to a wooden piece with the same range of motion as the servo. The wooden piece presses down the light switch to turn it on and off after resting at a neutral position. The functionality of our prototype is demonstrated in the video (below). We used fishing line in place of string to tie the wooden piece together with the servo. The motion of the servo in the video looks a little weird because it was handheld at this point and not wall mounted like it will be.
