The Possessed Dress is an art piece created by Hussein Chalayan, is which a machine under the fabric moves in order to make it seem as if the dress has been possessed by a supernatural entity.
Originally, I thought that the dress was mostly autonomous, and that it either had a choreographed set of movements that it would go through or that it would maybe react to the movements of the performer. However, the dress is remote controlled, meaning that the autonomy is mostly with the performer.
I think that fact that the machine and human performer almost blend together is really interesting. It impossible to see where the machine starts and person ends, which really makes it seems as if the person has been possessed.
