In this exercise, I created a geometric layout using the curtain model to see what visual patterns and shapes formed from the standard forward and backward motion of a curtain. The curtains are controlled both by the human and machine, where the machine is on a loop to sway back and forth, but the human can also provide input on top of it. This allows for interesting patterns to emerge because the human input is working with the machine’s loop to control the curtain’s direction. Halfway through the recording, the human controls the curtains to alternate directions and at the end of the recording, the human controls the curtains to only move forward.
