The goal for this assignment was to create a hybrid human/ robot performance. The narrative of my performance is that a penguin is lost and alone in a desert. It notices the observer and waves high, but is ultimately occupied by finding its friends. With the help of the observer, the penguin is able to find his friends. The penguin notices the observer again and thanks them for their help before continuing to cheer in excitement at the sight of their friends.
To accomplish this narrative, I had to greatly enhance the controller I created for the last assignment. I added keyboard commands and a PID controller system to help aid movements and expressions I was trying to achieve. I also was able to creatively stop motion with a push of a button, which helps convey the expressions I am trying to get across.
