The original intended effect was to use tension in the fabric to bring the cords together and opens up when the tension is released. I had many challenges to stabilize the fabric by center point and apply pressure by each center point between the cords because of the motion of the fabric when it swings. I ended up using a big loop around the fabric and a another line that goes through the loop and gravitational forces brings the lines closer. It is similar to what I wanted to do that brings the cords together and opens up.
