For this assignment, we decided that giving structure to our shape would better express the natural textures of our fabric – Tim created a conical shape and Martha created a rectangular shape. We also decided that we wanted to explore using one of our structures’ movements as a “trigger” for the other structure’s movement. This dynamic could definitely be iterated on to make the dynamic more clear, but we felt that this was a successful exploration of that “trigger” movement. Finally, we added an accent fabric to the conical shape to create more movement in the piece.
