Project Title: Typewriter Turned Plotter

Project creator: Fabiano Mazza

Short description: This project was made for the creator’s two daughters. Using the mechanisms from an old electric typewriter, he created a plotter, which uses a marker to draw an image in a “connect-the-dots” pattern.

Response: This is a really neat way to re-purpose  an existing technology into something new and more exciting. The fact that the plotter is a creation that creates drawings is also pretty fun.

Currently, it looks like the only way to change the drawing color is to manually remove the marker from the plotter and put in a new one. If I were to improve this project, I would attempt to add some way for it to switch between colors automatically.
