A Software Engineer created a homemade music visualizer with 49 LEDs arranged into a piece of plywood. The LEDs react to the unique frequencies of sound inserted into the system from a typical stereo jack.

I find this project interesting because it can translate 1 form of sensory information into another. There are also so many ways to arrange led lights and categorize the parameters of sound(frequencies,beats,wavelengths etc) . Unique designs for a relevant project are endless.
