Thu. May 6, 2021, 8:15PM to 9:30PM (Zoom) (YouTube Live)

The essential objective for today is to see a live performance of all class projects on the bridge. The show will start at sunset at about 8:15 PM.

Students in Pittsburgh are encouraged to come see the performance in person. Please be sure to observe physical distancing rules; there is plenty of space to spread out. I encourage you to see pieces both from the bridge deck as well as positions in the valley.

For students unable to attend, a camera view will be live-streamed via the YouTube Live link above.

The Zoom channel will be open for audio-only discussion and text chat. It will be hard to have a detailed discussion under the circumstances, but please let’s try to share our observations of the work.

For the Vivaldi piece, we will attempt to include the soundtrack in the live stream. It will also be available to on-site viewers, streamed online at http://pbridge.adm.cs.cmu.edu:8000. Work is also in progress to play it on physical speakers.

Final Show and Documentation

Due: 2PM Thursday May 6: Please send Garth your final show files (.pd2 and any associated media) by 2PM on Thursday May 6 to prepare for a live show.

Due: May 6, May 10: please create a course site post with the following:

  • Written description of the project including title and list of students (due May 6).
  • 4-6 photographs (due May 10).
  • Embedded video of the final show (due May 10).

Please note: the text and photos of the final post must be hosted on the actual course site, only the embedded video may be an external link.

Clarification: since many of you may not be able to capture final photos and video until the May 6 class event, the final deadline for adding media is extended to Monday May 10. But please post the text portion prior to the show.
