In this exploration, I continued the concept of “to reveal and to hide” of my last research assignment which I was interested in. To achieve this goal, I want the fabric (clothing) to be in an imperceptible state before it starts to move.

I cut the cardboard into a one-inch-wide strips and fixed it on a piece of rectangular muslin every two inches. I minimize the fabric’s volume by folding it, so that it can hided between the gloves. I then fix it at one end so that it can rotate and unfold. In this way, the fabric will be revealed and create a surprise when two people are waving hands to each other.
