I wanted to experiment with different types of fans, I had some difficulty using the materials, dowels ended up being too difficult to push pins through, so I used straws I flattened as the supports for my fan. I tried a few different sizes of fan, but I think I enjoyed the larger sizes more. I definitely want to continue experimenting with types of folding and adding more style to the fabrics.
