Laura Poskin Director of Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh will be joining us in class on Thursday, Nov. 14th. She’ll be teaching us about matters pertaining to social engagement among older people living in Allegheny County, and answering questions. In preparation for that, please:

3. Flip through the Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh Action Plan 2017–2020 https://www.swppa.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/AgeFriendlyPGH_ActionPlan.pdf. You do not need to read this document cover to cover, but be sure to read pp. 35–37, which are especially relevant to our work in this class.

4. Once you’ve read the above background, use this Canvas assignment to submit at least two discussion questions raised by the assigned reading. Please submit your discussion questions by 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13th so that I can read through them and send them along to Ms. Poskin before Thursday’s class to help guide and inform our class discussion.
