Example Project Post

The documentation of your assignments is a place to record your thoughts, feelings, processes, learning, and discoveries that you experienced through making and sharing your project. This documentation is valuable for sharing with others and saving for yourself. Both you and others can learn from what you have experienced.

Documentation uploads are due one-week after the project is due.

Your documentation post should include the following:

  • Written reflection on your project. Write a few paragraphs on the following topics and answering the following questions:
    • Your Intention– What was your starting inspiration? What did you intend for this project when you began it? Why did you decide to approach the project the particular way you did?
    • Your Process -What materials and techniques did you use? How did you make decisions about your materials and your techniques? Tell us more about the choices your made during the project and why you made those choices?
    • Your Learning – What did you learn while you did this project? What did you learn from others about your project during the critique? What you would want to try next if you were to continue? What you might do differently?
  • Photographs or video documentation of your project.
    • Samples – If you made samples, include photographs of your samples.
    • Final project photos – Your photos should be of good quality with non-distracting backgrounds or additional items. Make sure the photos show up as “large” or “full size” in your post.
    • or Final project video – help us virtually experience your project or show the multiple aspects of your project.  Please embed the video so it can be directly viewed; you may either upload an MP4 file to our server or use supported third-party hosting, such as Vimeo or Youtube, etc.
