To celebrate Women’s History Month we came up with some basic ideas for lighting the Pausch Bridge. First and foremost, we would base much of the light show on the color purple and various related transformations as purple is the color for Women’s History Month. An idea we had was to start from a completely white bridge and slowly move purple across the bridge, somehow mixing in hues of pink and eventually transitioning to blues and reds which create purple where they overlap.
LGBTQ+ Pride Month
For LGBTQ+ Pride Month we might start the show with somewhat muted colors, slowly bringing in more vibrant shades of red, blue, and yellow to form part of a rainbow. We might then shift to a sort of visualization of the various pride flags waving in the wind, cycling through one after another.
Activated Expanses Live Show
Lighting the Pausch Bridge for the Activated Expanses Live Show would require more planning alongside the performing group to get an understanding of the meaning behind the show and what they wanted out of the light show. If we choose this idea we will likely have to meet with the Exploded Ensemble and Activated Anamorphs to further discuss key concepts.
