For our proof of concept, we focused on creating the 2 axis rotational system in which our maze would balance.

Removed the base of the frame to easier access the breadboard during testing

There are two frames and each rotate about an axis. Combined, they create a 2-axis gimbal.

We attached a paper clip from the servo to the frame. When the motor rotates, the paper clip attached to the tab lifts the frame causing it to rotate about the dowel.
Originally planned to use plywood, but there was much more cardboard available and we wanted to save the plywood for a final fabrication.
On the right side, you can see where the servo is attached to the paper clip, rotating the outer frame.
