For our proof-of-concept, we decided to create the mask and demonstrate how the bottom jaw will open and close. The green wire frame will sit on the head and the pink wire structure is attached by two joints on either side of the face. Currently, the hobby servo is not included, but it will be a part of the green wire structure. The servo will then control the movement of the bottom jaw using either a string or wire attached from the servo horn to a point on the bottom jaw. The photos below show the design of the wireframe mask. The video demonstrates how the mask fits over the head and how the jaw can move over a range of motion. In the video, the mask is moved by hand rather than with a hobby servo.
