In Class: From the extension of the triceps and the forearms. This morphing piece explores large movements that appear non human.
For this piece the movement of the thighs is projected backwards behind the head of the wearer. Large motions are created from walking, sitting, stretching, and opening/closing the legs. Cloth is stretched between the dowels, creating a relationship between the two legs.
This one creates a sail to be very diagrammatic about the twisting and torsion of the torso.
A small piece of fabric tied to the end point, controlled by the hip, knee, and ankle. Some pieces static, some pieces pivoting, makes for a playful experience.
