In this assignment I chose to showcase the building of bonds between people and how easy it is to have an impact on someone else’s life. I represented this through the action of shaking hands.

The final piece didn’t end up quite like I wanted it to. The unraveling of the segments isn’t smooth and they’re too linear for my liking. I tried to add some angled pieces, but they ended up not working.

With more time I would have liked to add maybe a 4-bar linkage or some of the simple tendon actuators we’ve used before to add more life and animation to the piece.
