How: sequence of clips in exquisite-corps style where 2 people in separate locations appear to be interacting with the same piece of fabric that has been animated through mechanics to appear alive.

Why: We would like to expand upon our idea of telling a story through materials. We experimented with this in our inflatables project, showing the story of the girl getting attacked by her necklace. We think film and the opportunities for transitions that it offers are excellent for involving both of us in a similar story, but using fabric as the centerpiece instead.

We very much enjoyed creating the parasite inflatable project, where our creature’s movements made it seem like it was attacking the wearer. We also really enjoyed and wanted to continue exploring the capabilities of film and making transitions seem seamless even though we are in different locations
