Improvisation Inflatables

My First inflatable was a conglomeration of several randomly cut pieces

Due to overlapping of plastic, a single seam became a hole that was very difficult to cold.

My next piece came together much more simply
By thinking of patterning in the original placement of plastic pieces, a more complex pattern on the form was acchieved

The pieces began to take on abstract geometric/architectural forms

With my next piece, I attempted to create a symmetrical form
Even with the symmetrical form, the piece retained its unique geometric style
In my next piece, I tried inverting the side of the plastic some of my tape was on
I also used a pattern of attaching silver slivers of plastic to all purple pieces

For my final piece, I attempted to play with loose plastic on the ends of the piece

While the plastic was not as freely moving as I had expected, the form was still successful in evoking a different feeling than any of my other pieces
