The toy we were making was a octopus themed marble sorter. The marbles were placed into the octopus’s mouth and then got sorted in the body of the octopus and came out a specific leg depending on what size the marble was.
The sorter was designed in CAD and was laser cut out of cardboard.
The tubes that were meant to transport the marbles were ordered via Ideate. The marbles were also ordered via ideate.
The head of the octopus first designed in SolidWorks. Then it was printed using SLA printing on a Form2 3D printer.
A stand to tilt the head was designed in CAD and laser cut out of cardboard, but was not sturdy enough to support the weight of the toy.
