Biweekly Entertainment Developer Update 4/3

3 April 2019 by tsanmigu@andrew.cmu.edu

With checkpoint 3 less than one week away, the team is finishing up core gameplay assets and mechanics like currency and the upgrade store. Now, the big challenge left is extending the game to multiple environments, and transitioning between them.

Last week Sophia finished the old woman obstacles, environment art like trees and lampposts, and began work on the store environment the player visits after every attempt. Tommy and Thomas continued iterating on mechanics built, like controlling the kite, speed boosts, and obstacle generation. Harleigh began work on a soundtrack, aiming for 70s-inspired disco to keep the pep in grandpa’s step as he races through suburbia.

Things are coming together very nicely for Biweekly Entertainment. We should have a playable beta by Friday.
