Chemical Reaction Car

Chemical Reaction Car

Description:

The car would consist of a main car body that comes with interchangeable parts. The child would interact with the car by experimenting with different reactions and car parts (altering the amount of “chemicals,” the weight of the car, size of wheels, etc.).

Principle:

By playing with this toy, children can learn about chemical reactions (between baking soda and vinegar or other safe substances). In addition, they can learn about different forms of energy, as well as what properties affect speed/acceleration.

Construction Materials, Durability, and Safety:

  • The car would likely be made of plastic, ensuring that the reaction container is not affected by any of the “chemicals.”
  • It would be fairly durable, as it would likely run into walls and other things on the ground.
  • The car (and its attachments) would be large enough to not be a choking hazard, and the provided “chemicals” would be safe for children to eat and come in contact with.
