The Mechanism is an image of a forest scene that transitions from day to night-time. The trees were constructed with the laser-cut wood, and were attached to a rig that allowed us to move the trees up and down to add more life to the scene. We taped colored films in the order of orange, then light purple, then blue to simulate a sunset. The video was shot on an iPhone, and the video was slowed down to make the overall animation run more smoothly.
