Complete Sample Book due: Thur., Dec. 2 Dec. 9
In this course you have (and will continue to) create a number of samples for a range of textile techniques. Your collection of samples will provide you with a wealth of information that you can refer back to for years to come. Your Sample Book assignment is to create an organized collection of your samples from throughout the semester.
You can choose from two different formats for your sample book:

- A creatively assembled sewn textile sample book.
(Please refer to the two examples Sample Books shown in class.)
Your Sample Book should include the following samples:
- Spun wool (homespun wool yarn)
- Dyed Wool from our Acid Dye experience
- Felted samples
- Sample from weaving (if yours is separate from your final weaving)
- 9-square pieced sewn sample
- Three sewn samples from Day 1 with sewing machines:
- 6 Lines
- Concentric Squares
- Concentric Circles
- Resist binding & Reactive Dye samples
- Embroidery Sample
- Applique Sample
- Printing (on fabric) sample
- Any other samples made during experiences offered in class.
- Any samples you made for trying out techniques for your projects.
