The following are due by the beginning of class, Tuesday, 11/10 :
- Find patterned cloth from the past from anywhere around the world, to use as a point of inspiration for your upcoming digital repeat pattern. (The Met’s textile collection online is a great resource.)
- Find one contemporary repeat pattern that you find interesting. Here are a few great resources:
- Flavor Paper is a great resource
- Interactive webpage of different indigenous Canadian designers work that is very exciting
- The Design Library Kosmos Satellite collection. You have to register (for free) with the Satellite collection to enter the collection.)
- Create a blog post that includes images of both patterns and a written description of why you chose (and what engaged you in each) each pattern. Use the category “Digital Repeat Pattern” for your blog post.
