Intent: My goal was to create a curtain like mechanism for books on a bookshelf. The goal was create curiosity by hiding the books with a semi-transparent curtain. Moving the curtain up would the create fabric movement that draws more attention to the books beneath.

Between the final and the previous prototypes I switched from a heavier draping opaque fabric to a lighter fabric. In previous prototypes I had created curtains that were unevenly drawn on either side. One side would raise when the other lowered. However I discovered that with the lighter fabric it was significantly easier to tangle than with the previous model. I think that not being able to carry on the uneven curtain drawing mechanism was the biggest failure of this project. Conversely I was happy with the fabric effect of the transparent material.
