Class FAQ
Please email me any questions you forgot to ask in class.
My Arduino Died!
The clone brands (without the official Arduino name) are cheap knock offs and we get what we pay for… If you think your Arduino is dead, contact a TA or me and we’ll get you a replacement. Another option is to go to the IDeATe Lending office and check out an Arduino for the short term until we can get you a replacement.
Late Assignments
If you know your assignment is going to be late, please let me know in class and send me email. Most of our assignments will be handed out on Thursday and due on Tuesday, if you have travel planned or a conflict (other than Carnival 🙂 and need to turn in late, just let me know.
Resources in A10
All the parts in the bins are available for use on class projects. Please return them when you’re finished so others can use them in the next class. If it has a blue tag on the container it’s an expensive component you’ll need to check out from the library down the hall.
Questions Outside Class
If you have a question about an assignment or lecture that can’t wait until my office hours, drop me email and I’ll get back to you within a day or so.
“What’s your name, man?”
“My name is Alexander[…]” In the design world we pretty much all use personal names and mine ended up being my email address, “jet”. I’m an Adjunct Professor in the School of Art, but I still go by “jet” not “Professor” or “Mr.”
