Welcome! The main object of today is to sew a vest prototype in muslin in order to validate measurements and adjust the fit.
We will review the ‘Parasite’ assignment on Thursday, then go over zipper installation.
If you finish your vest during class or are more experienced in machine sewing and garment construction, please participate in helping others.
We will together do the following:
- orient the panels (inside out)
- pin together the seamlines
- try on and check the fit (inside out)
- adjust as needed
- machine-stitch
- check fit (right-side out)
Assignment
Please finish assembling the vest prototype before Thursday.
