Idea #2: Tree thorns
When the tree is inflated, there are lots of leaves and it appears healthy, but when the air is sucked out, spikes stick through the fabric and look like thorns.
Idea #3: Mood based color change
The garment would be pneumatically actuated with at least two different channels, each to represent a different mood. The user would indicate the mood they want to display through a user interface, and then via the overlapping pneumatic bladders, colors would reveal themselves.
